I will save your brand - by Michael Behrens

How many times am I going to see the exact same mistake made by online marketers? They spend thousands, even millions, creating awareness, generating traffic, and acquiring new customers only to have so many sales lost at the very last minute due to HORRIFIC execution of an online marketing plan.

This posting is going to be very short and to the point. Here is a five minute, five step plan for incremental sales. You’ll have the confidence of knowing your brand is just a little safer than it was 5 minutes prior.

Step 1: Log into Google, Yahoo and MSN

Step 2: Create a new Content Campaign

Step 3: Add your company name as the keyword

Step 4: Add a Creative

Step 5: Log out and sleep better at night

If you haven’t completed these five steps, than I am sure your competition is grateful you are not a part of the conversation where your brand is being discussed on blogs, in forums, in articles and other websites.  But guess who is probably there? You got it, your competition. How do I know this? It is one of the simplest ways of finding incremental sales, and I use this method all the time.
By simply taking advantage of the contextual networks, you could be part of any conversation about your brand that monetizes their traffic through Google, Yahoo or MSN, which by the way is in the billions of daily impressions. The contextual networks are helping solve the problems that have arisen due to media fragmentation and the power of the long tail. It doesn’t solve all the problems but it sure helps… A LOT!
