One of the greatest challenges faced by the CEO was making the decision to relocate to Denver in 2002. While he saw it as an ideal place to conduct business—centralized location, lower overhead and less competition—he had to deal with some imperfect realities. As a New York native, he was forced to leave behind family, friends and business connections and start from scratch with both his personal and business relationships.
