2008 Design Scholarship Award

The Ira
Zaslow Foundation (http://www.irazaslowfoundation.org)
a 501 c 3 not for profit charity erected in memory of Ira Zaslow lost on
September 11th and dedicated to the youth of NYC in partnership with
JBCStyle (http://www.jbcstyle.com) the
leading recruiter in the fashion, beauty and action sports industries is proud
to announce its 2008 Design Scholarship Initiative.  In connection with New York City's Fashion
Institute of Technology (www.fitnyc.edu),
Parsons the New School for Design (www.parsons.edu) and Katharine Gibbs School in New York (www.gibbsny.edu) the Ira
Zaslow Foundation and JBCStyle are awarding a minimum of one academic
scholarship to a student meeting and applying to a pre-determined criteria at
each of the aforementioned schools.

Tomorrow afternoon (Thursday May 8th) during the Parsons Junior Fashion Show,
Macarena Rosas (a student at Parsons School of
Design) will be awarded with the first of the 2008 Ira Zaslow Design
Scholarships.  The
criteria used to determine a winner of this year’s scholarship took into
account many academic, talent and community service related factors including
those wonderful attributes and successes Ms. Rosas posses.  Bryan Zaslow,
President and CEO of JBCStyle and Founder/Chairman of the Ira Zaslow Foundation
will be in attendance and personally award the scholarship to Macarena.  This year, scholarships are also being awarded to deserving students at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Katharine
Gibbs School of Design.
