DVEO Launches VGA to DVB-T Converter with MPEG-2 Encoder

San Diego, CA -- DVEO, the broadcast division of CMI, today announced the introduction of their new VGA to DVB-T converter.  VGA2DVB-T™ will be featured at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam, September 12-16, at Stand 3.A48.

VGA2DVB-T is a real time converter and MPEG-2 encoder.  It converts any VGA graphics and text from a computer to a frequency agile digital DVB-T modulated signal, then sends the signal to multiple HD monitors.  VGA2DVB-T can be used with existing analog or digital CCTV systems and inexpensive coaxial cable.

DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial) is the European standard for broadcasting digital TV “over the air”.  VGA (Video Graphics Array) is the display standard for personal computers.

“Our European customers are extremely enthusiastic about the VGA2DVB-T,” said Laszlo Zoltan, Sales Manager for DVEO.  “It’s an ideal way to display the same information on many televisions in public places -- such as stadiums, schools, airports, manufacturing plants, and hotels.”

The system is easy to configure, and it includes a set of templates to ensure that content will be displayed correctly.

DVEO will soon be introducing VGA converters in other formats -- including VGA2QAM™, VGA2IP™, VGA2ASI™, and VGA28VSB™.
