LAI adds director of sales to business development team

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 17, 2008 — LAI International, Inc., a strategic supplier of precision components and sub-assemblies for original equipment manufacturers, has named Gerhard Schwebler as director of sales.

Schwebler will lead business development
initiatives in LAI's core vertical markets, including power generation,
aerospace, defense and electronics.
Schwebler, who is headquartered at LAI's Scarborough, Maine, facility, has more than 20 years of experience in business development and management roles in high-tech companies doing business with original equipment manufacturers in power generation, petrochemical, electronics, utility and telecommunications industries.

He was national sales manager at The HOMAC Companies, Ormond Beach, Fla.; and has held positions including global market and business development manager, at FCI USA, Inc., Burndy Division, Manchester, N.H. He was plant manager at Triangle Circuits of Connecticut, Danbury, Conn.; and engineering and CNC supervisor for Teknicircuits Inc., Danbury, Conn.

Gerhard holds four design patents, domestic and international, covering electronic connection methods. He has served on the standards committee of Alliance for Telecommunication Industry Association and as electronic media for the International Telecommunications Energy Conference since 2006.
