RONNIE C. WRIGHT PALM BEACH'S AMBASSADOR OF INNOVATION
Inventing Success
Platemate.biz Corp,'s Ronnie C. Wright wants to position Palm Beach as what he coined "Innovation Island" and, is positioning his company as the bridge to get you there.
By Charles Churchill
PALM BEACH IS KNOWN AROUND THE WORLD as "The Island." Today, well known innovators and inventors are buying mansions on 'The Island,' like never before. They agree that this international destination is a good investment.
Ronnie C. Wright is committed to helping them see a return. The Platemate.biz Corp. CEO observed with joy as more and more "like minded enthusiasts" purchased Palm Beach property bringing large appetites for "luxury, diet & wellness."
One afternoon he and Platemate's CFO, Harry "Spinner" Ketchum watched a tennis match on the clay courts at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club where they are members; then suddenly a noble idea was born: "The Island will give the world 'GIFTS' short for Global Innovations For Todays' Society," Wright said. "An annual conference attended by the 'GIFTED' in other words 'Global Innovators Fostering Todays' Enterpreneurial Developments - right here at Mar-a-Lago. And, we'll host the Dorothy Sullivan Luxury of Living Awards, in the evening, as icing on the cake."
Then Wright carved out his main objective: establishing Platemate.biz Corp. as the leader in global innovation. He seeks to work with "forward thinking" people, worldwide. "I believe there's a pool of untapped talent in the world and, we plan to mine it to serve mankind," he stated.
By some accounts, Ronnie C. Wright is Palm Beach's "Ambassador of Innovation." He established and operates PCTN.TV (www.pctn.tv) network, the online "luxury lifestyle leader," Platemate Studios that produces online content such as "LUXURY TONIGHT" and "SUNDAY AT POLO;" a platform of "luxury, diet & wellness" sites that includes Dietoffice.biz and FatFreeFriday.com to name a few. Recognized as the world's first Acroneticist for inventing Acronetics, a technology and, award-winning inventor of the Stayfine Diet," Wright is a natural leader in fundraising circles with his Fine Fitness Foundation(www.finefitfound.org) dedicated to reducing obesity, especially in children.
Yet, with all his personal accomplishments, Wright finds himself hungry to achieve more for the 21st Century. He recently, announced another invention trademarked "piePLATE," a hardware/software system which stands for 'Phone + Internet + Entertainment Platform Linking All To Everything.' The Luxury School is another first and focused on luxury education, including everything from the law of luxury to the marketing of luxury.

Ronnie C. Wright, the company's CEO and controlling shareholder operates his organization like a sports team. "I look for people with break-away capability." Wright said. His time is spent inventing and creating companies like the Platemate Acronetics or sitting on boards like the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association. The energetic sportsman doesn't hide his desire to become Florida's Governor, one day and, that his brother Gary C. Wright currently company president will probably run the business in the future. Wright is busy developing his "piePLATE" system designed as a device capable of handling phone calls and displaying internet, tv and film content.
Platemate.biz Corp. has invested big in developing Internet websites such as FatFreeFriday.com the professional social-networking site with a "PURPOSE" which stands for Professionals Uniquely Reaching Professionals Online Successfully Everyday.
Raised in a small town, Wright grew up in "The Wright Family of Brooksville" one of Florida's oldest families where he excelled in academics and sports. He lettered and served as captain in five different sports receiving scholarship offers in football, tennis and academics. Wright entered the University of Florida seven days after graduating from Hernando High School with "Honors" and in the nation's top five-percent, inducted into the "Who's Who In America." His goal was to complete his undergraduate studies and law school, in four years. That all changed when he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. "Those college co-eds just needed my help," Wright jokes. He worked three years as an undergrad for UF's Information and Publication Services, as a writer, editor, director, producer and host of show such as "Uniscope" and, for "UPI" and "AP." He won a PBS Award for producing a documentary titled: "The Plight of the Florida Alligator."
With his A.A. and B.S. in Journalism in hand Wright landed a job in his home town as an economic development planner. He raised millions of dollars from Federal, State, Regional and Private Foundations for projects that included housing, water & sewage, recreation, environment, transportation elderly care, health and more.
After almost four years with a successful track record, Wright resigned from program planning to free-lance TV work, landing jobs at TBS and a growing cable network called CNN. When big names came to town, Wright tapped them for his self-produced show titled: "SPORTS TONIGHT with Ronnie C. Wright." Some of his guests included Magic Johnson; Pat Riley; Andrew Young; Ted Turner; Ali; Maynard Jackson and Michael Jordan to name a few. His show's success gave him the courage to move to Beverly Hills where he met a talent by the name of Milton Berle who gave him time and advice over lunch at the Friars Club.
A contact in his writing class at UCLA put him touch with Berg Productions who hired him to write script outlines for a CBS show titled "Dolphin Bay" created by Peter Benchley the creator of "Jaws." With this momentum, Wright approached a fledgling Fox television about licensing "Romance with the Stars" a Valentines' Day television special he created. "I remember, after five fabulous meetings, my life was about to change," Wright said. "The contracts were on the table, ready to be signed then an executive walked in and says, 'Fox television just cut its budget' - just like that - life goes on!"
So he decided to up his game through education. Wright accepted a fellowship with the International Hall of Fame of Inventors connected with the University of Georgia. He focused on innovation and complex systems. After years of research and dedication, he invented Acronetics and received a Ph.D (Honorary), for his efforts. In addition, he worked independently on a Juris Doctorate from LaSalle University.
In 1999, Wright moved to Coral Gables, Florida to research and develop the "Stayfine Diet," using the University of Miami as his research lab.
By the time his diet and book was completed in 2001, Wright had established the Fine Fitness Foundation dedicated to "HEALTH" or in essence, 'Helping Every Age Live Today Healthier;' and, to reducing obesity.
Wright truly believes that good information produces good results so he produced "Stayfine" seminars that encouraged individuals to stay 'Fit + Intelligent + Natural + Energetic.' He expanded his weekly seminars to a television show with the same title. In 2003, he founded Platemate.biz Corp to reflect his vision of "luxury, diet & wellness," moving individuals to improve their lives with good choices, employing technology. Wright decided to build his company around the "PLATE" short for 'Platform Linking All To Everything.' His brands, products and services would empower consumers and, in return they would choose Platemate as the one source for their slice of the "PIE" when it came to Phone + Internet + Entertainment.
Platemate's CFO, Spinner Ketchum remembers when Wright introduced his "PROFITS" Business Model, in 2007. They were on a business trip from Palm Beach to Las Vegas to Beverly Hills. "Over breakfast at a plush Beverly Hills hotel, Ronnie turns to me and says 'profits are invented in the 21st century, we have to invent them," Ketchum says. "He goes on to say - if we want to survive then we have to invent a survival kit. That kit should be used to build a platform for profits on the Internet. That's Ronnie, always pushing innovation."
Also in 2007, Platemate.biz Corp. launched Web sites that included Dietoffice.biz, the Internet's first diet social-networking site and, PCTN.TV the online network that allows Platemate to run TV shows and movies from its Platemate Studios. Some of its original programming that includes "LUXURY TONIGHT" and "STAYFINE" is being package for national broadcast as well.
Returning from Beverly Hills Wright immediately began work on expanding his Platemate brand which Denver based media consultant, Raymond K. Coleman, a former CNN and Turner Broadcasting executive calls "one of the most significant marketing efforts in American media history. This company is truly revolutionary and, its technology makes it even more valuable."
"My goal is to give the world 'GIFTS' which stands for Global Innovations For Todays' Society," Wright concluded. And spoken like a true "Ambassador of Innovation."
