If you listen to the national media, you'd think we were not only in a recession, but headed for something more fierce than the great depression. Â However, there are still a significant number of regions doing well, with solid economic growth, job growth, solid industry performance, etc.We here in Oklahoma City fit that bill, but unfortunately, we're facing in our local real estate market what I call a "Market Hypochondria," where people hear so much negativity in the press that it it suddenly becomes reality. Â We having to do our part to help keep the buying public aware of the fact that what you read in the national headlines doesn't necessarily apply to us on a micro-level. Â All of the components of a strong and healthy housing market here exist, and we have data to prove it. Â Unfortunately, he who controls the media controls the message, and we're having to put forth some solid effort and big money to help reverse that effect.See here:Â www.DefyTheTrends.comÂ
